For 15 years produced commercials, run his advertising agency until he was invited to play in the Yakut film «Siberian Sniper». The film was based on the 1947 novel «Egor Chaerin» by the Yakut war veteran writer Timofey Smetanin. Not only did Dmitry play a role in the film, but he also ended up directing it. On top of that he handled the process of creating graphics, did the compositing of most scenes — that is cutting out the blue background, rotoscoping characters and objects, backgrounds and bringing it all into one composition — one image. «Siberian Sniper» is the first Yakut film to use a record number of computer graphics and special effects. The film had more than 12 million views on YouTube, and premiered on the «STS» TV channel. «The guys from our team, including myself, are amateurs, we do not have a professional education related to the film production. However, this does not bother us much — when you are passionate about your labour of love, the process goes on.»
