Arseniy Zayanchkovsky

Age: 26 years

During the last year, has been working with a team of extremely talented guys at Franema video production company, creating unusual commercials with an emphasis on the storyline, detailed characters and peculiar visual solutions.

List of the main projects:

Normandie-Niemen in the skies of East Prussia — a non-commercial documentary debut, directed, filmed and edited by Arseniy in collaboration with local enthusiasts: historians, ethnographers and former military personnel. The film won the Grand Prix at the Baltic Debuts Film Festival in the Time in Frame category in 2018.

Snowball — one of the first short feature films shot by Arseniy, was included as part of the non-competitive program of the «Shorter» festival in 2019.

Sky Watchman — Arseniy’s latest short feature film is to be screenplayed at the 2021 debut pitching. The project received a grant of half a million rubles for shooting.

«Cathedral: Hidden Signs and Secret Doors» — a virtual tour that received a special prize from the All-Russian Culture Online Awards. Modern cameras, as well as Virtual Reality technologies, unfamiliar to the team, we used for panoramic shooting.

«I’m inspired by cinematography! It’s the main source of driving force and analysis. Films are an endless encyclopedia of creative and technical solutions. Music plays a vital role in my work too, and cannot be overlooked. I grew up listening to motion pictures’ original soundtracks, that give me the drive to create and help visualize new storylines for my future films. Music is always playing while I work.»
