Realism painter
The art of Semen is devoted to the northern peoples and the nature of the North. In his art, he reveals the uniqueness of the people, nature and of life in general. Each of his works is made very concisely, you can feel artist’s love for his homeland. Through his work, the memory of the traditions and customs of ancestors, the culture and history of its people is preserved. The artist touches upon important subjects and universal human values. Portraits of celebrities are also presented in his collection.
He conducts a summer school of painting for students of all ages. In the remaining months, he works 12 hours shifts in his workshop. And he keeps a sketchbook and a pencil with him at all times.
In 2016, his personal exhibition in Reykjavik as part of the international festival «Arctic Circle» was attended by President of Iceland Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, ambassadors of the Russian Federation in Iceland and Switzerland and John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono.
Winner and finalist of various Russian and international contests and exhibitions, including:
- — All-Russian competition of professional artists with a total prize fund of more than 10 million rubles «What is your Russia about — 2020»
- — National Prize «Pride of Yakutia» in the «Worker of Culture» nomination
- — Grand Prix of the International Exhibition «World of Achievements» in Saint Petersburg
- — the first prize among professional artists of Russia
In 2015, Semyon was awarded the badge «For Contribution to the Development of International Cultural Relations between Russia and Palestine», was awarded the badge «Pride of Amga», and is a full member of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society.
Actively participates in all youth exhibitions and projects of the Union of Artists, being its member. His works are in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha, as well as in private collections in Morocco, Turkey, Israel, Finland, China, Iceland, Italy, Canada and Malta.
