Designer, founder of «Sakhaboho»
Sakhaboho is a brand of Yakut clothing and accessories in Boho style. Angelica has long dreamed of creating something of her own and in 2013 stormed into the world of fashion with the vibrant «Bohemian Yakutia» collection. Multilayer, voluminous clothing with a large number of accessories made of natural materials, ethno-motives of the native land, with an individual signature and attitude. Boho style can be described as freedom of soul, lack of framework, fantasy without boundaries.
The collection has won many awards:
- — «Best Fashion Designer» at the Fashion Week in Yakutsk 2013,
- — 1st place of the I Eurasian High Fashion Contest «ETHNO-ERATO» — 2013 in the «Ethnic motives in modern costume» nomination,
- — 1 place of the International Contest of Young Designers in Saint-Petersburg «Admiralty Needle» in the «Pret-A-Porter Diffusion» nomination,
- — 1st place of the international festival «Northern Deer 2016» in the «Stage ethnic costume» nomination
- — 1st place in the International Contest «Ethno-PODIUM» 2014 in Irkutsk
- — finalist of the International Contest of Young Designers «Russian Silhouette» in Moscow.
The talented designer attended several international festivals, including the international festival «Masterpieces of Mongolian Costume-2013» in Tonlyao, the international festival of Turkic peoples «Woman and Fashion in the Turkic World and Eurasia-2014» in Turkey, Fashion Week in Moscow-2016. She performed at the 260th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts together with the most famous fashion designers of our country: Valentin Yudashkin, Vyacheslav Zaitsev and Irina Krutikova. She was invited to the London Fashion Week finals.
The son of the designer, dressed as an eagle, symbolizing the strength of the spirit is the cherry on top of her fashion shows.
Her costumes were used in the music video for «Yakutyanochka», a song by L’one and Barbara Vizbor. Director Konstantin Timofeev was inspired by the costumes. In 2019 he released «Beyberikeen», where the costumes of Sakhaboho were presented.
Yakut clothing in the Boho style is now very popular among the Sakha people. There are now two types of brands on the market: brands, inspired by Angelica and others, new brands utilizing the style. Angelica contributed greatly to the popularization of Yakut modern clothing in Boho style.
Today she runs a large workshop, where she produces a new line of Yakut clothing and accessories.
