Kyydaana Ignatieva
Artist, designer, street artist
Deep down — a wizard and a magician. And on the outside — an artist, a designer, a street artist, a fan of fantasy. Although, it takes a bit of magic to turn the walls of apartment blocks into canvases and revive them with your art, wouldn’t you say?
Kyydaana is a pioneer of large-scale murals in Yakutia. She is the first artist to create such art objects as the first mural «Aan Alakhchyn Khotun» in Yakutsk.
It is during twilight, when the world calms and slows down, that she does her thing best. The native landscapes provide her with the greatest and crucial inspiration that she skillfully preserves in her work.
In 2021, Kyydaana was among the 100 finalists of the Architects of the Russian Federation — a leadership program for professional development. Worked on the «Urdel» park’s system. Was involved in the development of Aikhal village’s corporate identity. Currently, engaged in such projects as the Issyakh Tuimaada brand book and the development of unique small architectural forms for the Us Khatyn area in Yakutsk. In cooperation with the Concrete Jungle architectural bureau, develops the brand book for Mirny town. Was the curator of the regional «Leto YAKUTIA» festival. Implemented the project of Yakutsk bus branding, suggested a spectacular red color, and put the image of the endless Yakut calendar into the graphic image, which became the main symbol of the 100th anniversary of Yakutia.
«Murals (wall drawings) change the appearance of the city and surrounding villages with minimum financing. And I believe that by changing the envoronment, we also change the life of a person for the better.
