Dmitry Volodin
Collector, philanthropist, entrepreneur
The bulk of his collection consists of portrait by various artists. Volodin displays his collections in the format of exhibitions: for example, men’s and women’s portraits by Western European artists of the XVII-XVIII centuries, an exhibition of a unique private collection of brooches. Among the portraits in Dmitry’s collection are works by Dutch, Flemish, English and French artists, followers and pupils of such great painters as Peter Paul Rubens, Rembrandt, Philippe de Champaigne, Michiel Jan van Mierevelt. The exhibition with brooches features 70 individual pieces — from historical pieces from the 18th century and jewelry by major jewelry businesses, such as Faberge, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Tiffany & Co, to pieces by the best modern Russian jewelers: Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, Viktor Moiseikin, Vladimir Markin, Alexei Barsukov and many others.
