Bai Balalai

YouTube channel «Bai Balalai» are making videos in unique format. The channel is focused on human relationships. A video where a parent and achild talk about a variety of topics, answering unexpected and intimate questions became particularly popular. The channel is led by two friends, Maxim Yu-Tsi-Fa and Aysen Kalininsky, and they now have more than 45 thousand subscribers. Friends tried quite a few formats: «In the Kitchen» project, gaming content, series with celebrity guest stars. Eventually, they decided to focus on «parents and children» format videos, as they get more views.

Their videos almost always get more than 30 thousand views in a week, some reaching the 100 thousand or even half a million views mark. «Each new video is our child, in a way. It takes us almost 30 hours to produce one video. That is somewhere from three days to a week times’ work». The plans for making an English version of a channel is kept secret. The idea is to reveal it when they hit 100 000 subscribers. With their project, Maxim and Aysen wanted to show that there are cool and open people living in Yakutia — that they don’t actually race on deer or kick diamonds, as many people would think. «We shoot ads for organizations, videos for families, create YouTube channels for people and see to it that they grow. Such is our little production studio.»
