The head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning under the Head of the Republic of Sakha, chief architect of Yakutia.
Irina develops territories in the region, systematically addresses issues of architectural appearance improvement of cities and villages of Yakutia. Squares, embankments, parks, places for recreation and sports — it’s all under tight control of the chief architect. In just 3 years, 112 yard areas and 30 public spaces have been developed under the leadership of Irina Alekseeva, including five finished sites and two more sites currently under construction to win of the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements. Irina Alekseeva is in charge of large-scale educational projects, such as the international workshop «Public Spaces in Extreme Climate», the contest for the development of architectural concepts for Lenin Square reconstruction and the tourism cluster in the coldest part of the world, the construction of the Park of Future Generations, the development of art object, etc. Her mission is to improve the quality of the environment, to inspire and educate, to bring new things to the life of cities, preserving and developing their originality.
