Methodology

How were the 100 Most Creative Russians selected?

The final list is based on more than two thousand nominations from over 300 opinion leaders and experts. The study was carried out in four stages, whereas each stage contributed to the total score of the participant.

Survey of industry experts from each of the creative disciplines

Extensive media monitoring and data analysis

Voting of the expert commission

Why so many stages?

This structured approach enabled us to take into account visions of both individuals within creative industries as well as outside experts. The creative economy is interconnected with various areas of the economy and everyday life, therefore, the expert commission included people with various professional backgrounds, including sociology, psychology, investment, public management, and the media.

What were the selection criteria?

Our experts looked at the following:

innovation

impact on the respective discipline

creation of new businesses

export potential

other achievements

(international recognition, awards, financial success).
